At Least There's Pictures!

Right, so I’m kind of pissed, because I already wrote this blog once...apparently my disk decided to eat it. I have to admit I’m kinda glad, because the blog was mostly an ego boosting list of all the randomly wonderful things that have been going on in my life lately...based in large part, of course, on the men swirling around my little world.

Whatever, moving on.

I’ve been talking to a lot of old friends lately. It’s weirdly comforting to laugh my ass off with someone who’s known me since before I could drive. Old pep talks coming back into play, and once again I’m asking myself if I ever really want to end up with one person. Or if this little game I have of picking the guys I ultimately grow to feel sorry for, is my way of covering the fact that I have no desire to settle. Heh, there’s another one for the old psychiatrist I’m not seeing.

=p

Dad and Mom’s—haha, just kidding—Steve and Lauren’s flirty friend Mike (I shall call him SLFM) and I have quite a little repertoire going on now. Text messages and Gchats galore with the occasional interjection of a phone call. I can’t help but be pleasantly comforted by some of SLFM's little quirks. Stuff I know, because I’m the same way. Like, ‘pardon’...ask anyone I went to school with, I got so much shit for saying that word when I didn’t hear something directed at me. The fact that we have never met face to face bothers me...partially because of just who I am, and partially because I feel like I’m in an experiment.

The Reverse Effect: Study of causational relationships gaining momentum through verbal communication before an initial meeting as opposed to the transverse of such.

LOL...wow...for a second there...it just kinda felt like I was back in my psych classes. Crazy, mad fun, there, kiddies...crazy, mad fun.

Right...what else...damn there’s so much to cover and so little time...oh, that’s right, you haven’t heard yet. Lauren’s got me on a deadline for Atsou...10 chapters by 5/30. I’m not even half way through...and I have edits on the last four chapters to fix before they’re ready to go...LOL...I love how I have to edit before I get my edits...but then I don’t do my edits...I’m still dreading going over the final draft...but, as my mother says...maybe I should just look into finishing the damn thing first. =)

Some quick and clean blurpettes:

Boston’s out of...that place he went to...but if what I’ve heard is any indication, it’s not going to be long until he’s back in. I feel bad for the kid, but I’m not going to be an enabler...he really doesn’t need that from me.

Saw The Sentinel this weekend with MGFM. An entertaining—if a bit predicable film based on the book of the same name. Of course, anything with spies/government agencies is going to be at the top of my list anyways, but MGFM gave it a good review as well.

Finally finished the Da Vinci Codes. I wish I could give it the glorious review it gets from most. I fond the “bad guy” to be preposterous, and the overall tone too slow. I did, however, get the feeling that I would have enjoyed it much more if I hadn’t taken two semesters of art history. I kept yelling, “Yeah, I KNOW this part,” at the book. Heh, what can I say. I wanna see the movie...and the rule is, no movie without the book. So, there you have it.

FINALLY got my digital camera. Say it with me now! Yea, camera! Now expect at least one random photo per blog.

Oh...and many more blackmailing opportunities in the future.

;) Never do anything you can’t deny.
