You Say it’s Your Birthday?

The following is copied from my horoscope today:

This morning, dear Pisces, you might look in the mirror and be horrified at what you see. You've been working hard and are stressed out, so you probably look tired. You're apt to blow it all out of proportion, however, and think you look a lot worse than you actually do. Treat yourself to some new clothes and skin products, and then get some rest. Tomorrow you'll look as gorgeous as ever. Hang in there.

I have to say, this pretty much covers my feelings about myself. I’m tired, I feel gross, and I just want it to be Friday already.

Right, that’s it, I’m done my whining.

Maybe it’s kinda obvious to say, but I’ve always really liked my birthday. It’s far enough away from Christmas that I still get fun presents. It’s between New Years and spring break…and makes sure that I always had at least one major party weekend per month, all the way through Summer. (April has Easter, and school always let out in May.)

There’s something about February that makes me happy. Between the lovey-ness, breast cancer awareness, black history, etc, etc, there’s lots of good will toward men and all the rest. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences throws its major players a party (On occasion, this happens in March, but usually on the week of my b-day.) And I’ve always been rather partial to the horoscopes of Pisces.

In Texas, Florida, and Nevada, the weather usually tried to cool off for me. Here it shimmers for me. Nothing in this world sparkles like the snow. Nothing is quite as beautiful as a snowflake. I often wonder, while stopping to watch the snow fall or search out the patterns of a snowflake, what would happen if everyone took the time to do the same. Sort of stop and smell the roses, only for winter.

Anyways, that’s enough out of me, I just wanted to stop by and say hi. Thank you to everyone who’s passed along their well wishes. Thank you, thank you, to MGFM, Cindy & George, and everyone here who’s taken me out and made me feel like a real princess. And a preemptive than you to all of you back home who’ve already booked time with me.

Love!
C

May McGorvey: There are four columns of lonely women in here, and only one of lonely men. The odds are on our side. Now why wouldn't any of these women want to meet a nice person like you?

*ahem* I can't book time with you, when we are not in the same location. Just saying.

You're silly. You know I love you. And I know you're not here...I would be upset if you were here and just kept up the DC front.:p
